Olympians Use Imagery as Mental Training

“The more an athlete can image the entire package, the better it’s going to be,” said Nicole Detling, a sports psychologist with the United States Olympic team. This is, more than ever, a multisensory endeavor, which is why the term “imagery” is now often preferred to “visualization.”

HRV Resonant Breathing Exercise: 5.5-6BPM

http://www.thepoweryouare.com. Research is demonstrating that breathing at 5.5 to 6 belly breaths per minute is beneficial for your health.

“It has been shown to reduce blood pressure, help patients with panic disorder, anxiety and depression. It is very beneficial for asthma, COPD, fibromyalgia and irritable bowel.” (from Breath & Body website: http://www.breathandbody.com.au/resonant-frequency-breathing)

Resonant breathing is breathing that activates the co-ordinated function of oscillating body systems. This breathing increases your Heart Rate Variability.

Heart Rate Variability is a measure of the continuous interplay of your sympathetic (stress response) and parasympathetic (relaxation response) nervous systems and offers information about the flexibility of your autonomic nervous system.

This, in turn, reveals the capacity to which you are able to regulate your emotional responses and the degree to which your cardiac activity can be modulated to meet the demands of changing situations.

Practicing this breathing exercise for 10 minutes/day for 8 weeks can offer lasting improvement to your Heart Rate Variability and your overall health. You are literally re-training your Autonomic Nervous System.

This video is my gift to you to help make the process easy for you.

Enjoy!

EEG: How to record brain waves & the alpha-wave test

Here we demonstrate how to record EEG. Not with an EEG cap but just one single channel to show how it works. In general we need three electrodes: +,- and GND. In this case we record the potential difference between the back of the head and the mastoid to obtain a signal from the visual cortex. The GND electrode is simply attached to the other mastoid but could be placed anywhere, for the example on the forehead.

Alpha waves show up when the eyes are closed.

See the other clip here about EEG artefacts.

The EEG signal of neuro gadgets using dry electrodes

Dry electrodes are very popular amongst neuro gadgets. In this clip we gutted a mindflex which uses dry electrodes and connected them to our bio amplifier. Intially, the signal quality was so poor that only 50Hz mains could be seen but then it improved over a period of 10mins which finally allowed displaying the EEG mixed with the artefacts which one would expect: from EOG, EMG and cable movements.

After having watched this clip check out this playlist with examples of EEG mind control and make up your mind if it has been EEG or just artefacts: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWnTQ-kqjDMUf7pfMWmbuuU-Q4T6glvlM

Biofeedback Meditation: A New Gateway to an Ancient Path

This two-hour workshop at a national conference sponsored by Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment features Judith Pennington, a world authority on EEG-led Awakened Mind meditation. Judith ushers the audience through a Power Point presentation which traces the genesis of biofeedback, the invention of the Mind Mirror and discovery of the Awakened Mind brainwave pattern, and a series of exercises and meditations which guide audience members into the ideal Awakened Mind state of creativity, insight, intuition, and healing. She further explains the power and importance of high-frequency gamma waves to the evolution of human consciousness. The presentation closes with a

musical guided meditation featuring her lap harp and a journey into the superconscious.

The Brainwaves of Meditation and Higher States of Awareness

In this 8-minute video, brainwave meditation authority Judith Pennington explains and shows how meditation awakens awareness and evolves consciousness. Healer and intuitive Sylvia Chappell, hooked up to the Mind Mirror 3 EEG, follows Judith’s guidance into the depths of her subconscious mind, where creativity, insight, and healing reside. Sylvia works with healing light to shift her brainwaves from the Awakened Mind pattern of creative flow and peak performance to the Evolved Mind pattern of transcendence and illumination.
